Where do I pick up my camping kit?
Happy Campers main depots are at Dublin and Cork airports. We also have collection points in Galway, Limerick and Belfast cities. We also offer a delivery service if you want it delievered to your first camp site, for example.
Where do I return my camping kit?
Kits can be returned to our depots at Dublin and Cork airports. We also have drop-off points in Galway, Limerick and Belfast. For alternative drop off points or a pick-up service, please contact our customer service.
What are your delivery fees?
Delivery fees are generally $50 each way ($100 for delivery and pick-up) if within 20 miles of our 5 main depots/storage locations. For more remote destinations, please let us know at time of booking and we can discuss.
What happens if I have chosen an unsuitable camping kit?
We are aware that first-time campers may not be familiar with camping equipment and what’s required. Equally, foreign travellers may not know what to expect from an Irish summer for example. Don’t worry. When booking, our team will advise you on the most suitable equipment, taking in to account time of year and experience level and will ensure that you book a suitable kit for your needs.
Can you set up my tent for the first night?
Yes, this is possible. Contact our team to discuss.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 14 days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival date,
otherwise we will charge you a cancellation fee as below.
* 10% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel or make any changes
from 14 to 8 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
* 30% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel or make any changes
1day prior to your scheduled arrival date.
* 50% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel or make any changes
on your scheduled arrival date or No show.
Is there a deposit?
We require a 20% fee deposit on booking. The balance will be deducted from your credit card on collection of kit. We also hold an approximately 30% (dependant on kit) security deposit which will be returned to you on receipt/inspection of camping kit.
Will I lose my deposit for normal wear and tear?
No, don’t worry. We realise that our kit will be “lived in” during your holiday and a certain amount of wear and tear is unavoidable. A deduction would be made from the deposit only for serious damage like tears in the tent or missing equipment.

What other sports or camping equipment do you offer?
We have lots of specialist camping add-on equipment as well as sports equipment like surf boards, body boards, wet suits and hiking gear. Please visit camping kit add-ons page.
What happens to used tents?
We give our used tents that still have some life in them to homeless charities like Dublin Simon Community and the Peter McVerry Trust . Those that are unusable are donated to the Rediscovery centre in Ballymun for creative and ethical recycling.
