We rent quality camping gear – from tents, camping chairs and sleeping bags to gas stoves and kitchen equipment – and deliver it to your door.
HOW IT WORKS

Think about your trip – the time of year you’re travelling, number of people in your group, whether you want to eat out or cook at the camp site, and what gear you already have.
step 2. Choose your gear
Browse our packages or hand pick your own camping kit item by item. Speak to our team for advice or local knowledge.
step 3. collect your camping kit
You can pick up your kit at one of our 5 locations, we can deliver to your home, hotel, AirBnB or even your first camp site.
step 4. Go camping!
Get stuck in to the holiday of a lifetime!
Struggling with the poles? Can’t light the stove? Contact us – we have a 24 hour helpline during high season to talk you through any technical hitches.
step 5. Return your kit
All good things must come to an end… Drop off your kit at one of our 5 locations or we can come pick it up.
Our gear
The Happy Campers team have personally used and approved every item in our ‘camping kit’. You can read reviews of all the tents, camping stoves and major items of kit in our gear section. We offer only high-quality, durable equipment that stands up to whatever the Irish climate throws at it, including tents, sleeping bags, stoves and other camping items, with over 100 products from 25+ brands.
Why rent a camping kit?
Save money
Renting costs 15-20% of the gear purchase price. Of course, if you're a regular camper, renting doesn't make sense, but for first time or infrequent campers it's a good idea.
No storage
Camping gear takes up space and for anyone living in a small space, it can be a real hassle to store. For growing families it also makes sense. A compact family tent may be perfect for you and your 3 smallies right now, but in a few years you'll likely have grown out of it.

The Happy Campers team of seasoned campers offer excellent advice to newbie campers and will recommend what gear to choose for time of year, number of people, cooking preferences etc
Camp abroad
For foreign visitors, camping in Ireland is usually a non-runner given the expense and hassle of transitting all the gear. The Happy Campers complete camping kit cuts out all the hasssle for the foreign camper at a fraction of the cost.

Happy Campers main depots are at Dublin and Cork airports. We also have collection points in Galway, Limerick and Belfast cities.
Kits can be returned to our depots at Dublin and Cork airports. We also have drop-off points in Galway, Limerick and Belfast. For alternative drop off points, please contact our customer service
Delivery fees are generally $50 each way ($100 for delivery and pick-up) if within 20 miles of our 5 main depots/storage locations. For more remote destinations, please let us know at time of booking and we can discuss.
We are aware that first-time campers may not be familiar with camping equipment and what’s required. Equally, foreign travellers may not know what to expect from an Irish summer for example. Don’t worry. When booking, our team will advise you on the most suitable equipment, taking in to account time of year and experience level and will ensure that you book a suitable kit for your needs.

We require 14 days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival date,
otherwise we will charge you a cancellation fee as below.
* 10% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel or make any changes from 14 to 8 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
* 30% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel or make any changes 1day prior to your scheduled arrival date.
* 50% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel or make any changes on your scheduled arrival date or No show.
* 10% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel or make any changes from 14 to 8 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
* 30% of your total amount will be charged if you cancel or make any changes 1day prior to your scheduled arrival date.

We require a 20% fee deposit on booking. The balance will be deducted from your credit card on collection of kit. We also hold an approximately 30% (dependant on kit) security deposit which will be returned to you on receipt/inspection of camping kit.
No, don’t worry. We realise that our kit will be “lived in” during your holiday and a certain amount of wear and tear is unavoidable. A deduction would be made from the deposit only for serious damage like tears in the tent or missing equipment.
We give our used tents that still have some life in them to homeless charities like Dublin Simon Community and the Peter McVerry Trust . Those that are unusable are donated to the Rediscovery centre in Ballymun for creative and ethical recycling.
